8M2 is Euro notation where the magnitude replaces the decimal. Hence 8M2 = 8.2Mohms, 2k2 = 2.2 kohm, etc. The "cassette jacks" are right angle circular DIN MIDI connectors, something like Digi-Key 275-1022-ND. Not sure why they called out 8 pins, but hey. You may or may not have trouble getting it to fit on the PCB land pattern and rear holes. You could always consider using a panel-mount version instead and flying lead to the board. You should be able to find subs for any of your parts at an online retailer such as Digi-Key or Mouser. I am assuming the SDS1000 is the same circuit boards without these parts stuffed. Where they go should be fairly self-evident once you get the box open. They are clustered around the holes on the back panel where the jacks go. I do not remember the midi notes offhand, but I do know that they do not line up with the typical general midi assignments on my akai MPC. mike hamsterdrum85 wrote: > > > Hi, > > I have read a text file about converting an SDS1000 to an SDS1000M.
