Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Just went to the local Guitar Center music store today and what did my 
eyes see?
A Simmons SD5K electronic drum kit. It was an entry level new Simmons 
drum kit.
Are Simmons back in business? I could not find any info on the web.

The kit played and sounded good. Very similar to the Roland TD3 kit.
$500.00 price tag.
