Re: [Simmons Drums] SDSV Edge connectors

2006-09-12 by michael.buchner@debitel.net

Why replace the edge connector? Get rid of it! Solder a ribbon cable to the backpanel, with a 15 pole sub D plug attached. Then a sub D socket to the module. Or vice versa. You will be delighted, how easy your modules can be fitted to the frame. If your ribbons are long enough, you are able to check your modules powered up. And you can change the factory preset...

Does anyone know where to buy the edge connector sockets for Simmons SDSV voice
cards, or even what to call them? I got as far as working out they're probably 0.1"
spacing between the card traces/connector fingers.

Uh, a supplier in Australia would be nice ....
