Hey back, some simmons pads contain a resistor, hooked up between life and ground to reduce output voltage (suitable for SDS 5 and SDS 7, f.e.). It is soldered to the two terminals of the output. To remove it, you have to open the pads and just cut it off. Then the pads will work with all brains. Have Fun. Michael
