Easiest thing is to get a cheap old drum synth that has midi and separate
outs - feed the outs to the in's of the SDS-8...

Or why not hassle Paul to get the new batch of midi2sds-cards ready. They do
the trick superbly.

There's also an ebay dude selling midi to sds-converters that aren't that
expensive though I think velocity control isn't possible with those...
