Hi, Patrice.

Yes, long time, no chat. Yep, I set the kit up like Bill's arrangement
and have had it that way for years. Very versatile. I generaly put
congas and other samples on the left two tom pads, various other toms
on the others. On the Symbals I use shakers and a gong or bells.

Yes, the snare pad's gum rubber is showing some wear, but it still
plays fine. I'm going to move the mounting arm from left to right so
another area of the pad will be played more to even out wear. Of
course, the rim's active on the three sides opposite the mount, so
that will work fine.

I'm thinking of selling because I'm having back surgery soon and may
be out of commission for a while. So, it just seems like a good time
to simplify my life a bit. 

Also, guest players have no idea how to use the SDX, and I just as
soon they didn't anyway. Sadly, most young drummers have no sense of
etiquette. One particular character sat down behind the SDX, then
started yanking on the pads and arms, trying to force them into
another position; then he wanted to move all my cymbals around. I
gritted my teeth and set up a small acoustic kit for him. And after
all that trouble, he was a lousy musician.

Drum sets are like a golf course, you play it as it lays. Don't like
my kit? Then don't fiddle around with it, Chuck. At least, that's the
way I learned (I'm 51). Whenever I'm going to sit in somewhere, I take
my own sticks and snare and don't mess with the other guy's placement.
