A blog totally about Serge!

A blog totally about Serge!

2009-08-11 by roelelec

Hé Serge-heads,

I just came across this blog and it's totally devoted to the Serge!
I found it through the dubfactory. It seems Rex recently made someone very happy building him his first 4 M-panel strong Serge, beautifully layed out in the brandnew suit case. This guy was so happy after living and reliving his first Serge experiments, that he spontaneously gathered 10 others and started the Quadslope blog. It's loaded with information about the Serge and even giving tips and tricks to each other and newbies. I just scratched the surface of what's there. Great name by the way. O yes, there's even a forum, called yes you guessed right: quadslope Serge forum.

Here's the link: http://www.quadslope.com

Happy browsing!

Cheers,

Roel

I see the cat is out of the bag. With SMOG and Matrixsynth in the know, we can't hide it any longer.

We're a month in to Quadslope, and having a great time sharing the passion for the Serge!!! A bunch of us from Muff started up Quadslope a month ago because there was a need for some Web 2.0 community tools for Serge users. We have been slowly inviting people over as we build the site, and work out the kinks. There is a public blog, and a private forum. Since the forum is private, the admins have to approve your app. That also keeps a bunch of Porn links and spam off the site. :)

Rex is cool with it as long as we don't start posting pricing info, and negatively muck with his business. The guy is my hero, so I'll follow his input.

With a forum setting, we can share the knowledge and organize it in a much better way than what was available. I think I can speak for all of the founders, it has been an awesome tool so far, and we agree that opening it up to the SMOG group will be great, and a natural progression.

Long live the Serge.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for posting it to the group.
Cool pics you made.
I listened to the soundclips.
Unbelievable what a sonic power and diversity this old machine, after all this time can spit out!
in the beginning of the first soundclip, where you hear that fuzzy
stuff, I get the best impression how the old Serge sounds different.
Bubbles and the like are very clear and come very close to STS products I'm my opinion.

I also listened to the first minutes of your City Skies performance with Don Hassler.
Sounds very promising. Must listen to that completely when I have more time. I'm really jealous as I see that music easel...o no, can't be I have my Serge!

Cheers,

Roel

Yes, thanks Jason!
I've been wondering about Don's Serge for some time, actually, but have been afraid to ask! ;)
I look forward to listening to the samples later.

Thanks for sharing Jason, this is completely delightful. I'm now subscribing to both of your sites.

Mr Hassler was encouraging of my foray into Serge, and now I can hear and see why.
