Power cable question

Power cable question

2006-11-15 by John

My first Plan B modules were two M15's. I was aware that the power
ribbon cable's orientation was "backwards" in regard to the normal Doepfer
way of doing it.
I just ordered a couple more Plan B mods (not M15's) and wanted to make
sure how to plug them in. Was the M15 the only one that was different? I
don¹t want to blow anything up! :)

    regards,
    John

John,

All Plan B modules are labeled for correct connection. The flat power cables included with
your modules have a red stripe on one side. All Plan B modules are labeled "Red Band This
End" on one side of the board. Line up the labeling on the board and the red stripe on the
cable and plug them in. Just that easy.

We also recommend picking up a Model 1 protected power supply. Accidents happen and
modules get plugged in backwards, but this little baby makes sure nothing gets damaged!

Thanks,
Tim J

iirc the boards have all of the connections labeled (and so are my
doepfer power supplies). so i just checked my cable to make sure both
ends matched. i feel like i read somewhere that a run of planb modules
came out with the red stripe on the wrong side, so i double checked this
when i installed everything.
