Plan B update (stock and new products)

Plan B update (stock and new products)

2006-11-12 by (i think you can figure that out)

One last quick note regarding stock on hand and updates on product development efforts:

Analogue Haven currently has inventory of all Plan B products. If the first delivery of
Model 24's hasn't sold out, indications are it will be shortly - but there's another 10
coming next week right after we get a rather humungus order off to our German dealer.

As far as product development - the Model 16 Spectral Mutliplexer is in the final stages of
completion. The faceplates are on order, the last of the four boards are coming to design
(layout) completion. We're going to make a small prototype run on this one, simply
because there are four boards in this module giving plenty of opportunity for a dyslexic
like myself to screw up. I would give the M16 about four weeks before it hits our dealers.

After that is the push for Namm. I've made a commitment to our dealers to have
everything we show at Namm available within a month after the show's closing. I'm fully
prepared to see that commitment through and this means the Milton's and the Model 18
set will be the next two projects in the final release (faceplate art and PCB design) stages.
After that comes the long awaited Model 23 Analog Shift Register. From there we move to
the Evil (i never said it was a filter) Twin and another biggie which I'm going to keep a tarp
over until it's released. All I will say is it's going to be here by the late spring of next year
and that it falls into the category of sound generator and that it will blow your mind.

I want to say that all this is made possible threw the hard work of Tm Johnston, Paul
Rothman and Sean Price. Without their help I'd never be able to get off the bench.

More of the product release notes, there may also be some software products showing up
next year. Not sound or CV generators, but more utilitarian programs designed to make
your modular programming easier. One planned is a patch assistant which will allow for
quick and easy documentation and recall of your modular patches. Picture a database
something along the lines of Reaktor's programing page where you can reassemble a
functional diagram of a patch, replete with lines interconnecting each module which
indicate patching and notation of control settings and even linked photos of each module,
which can be stored as a file and recalled to the screen whenever needed. It will also allow
for a short audio file if your computer is equipped with the means to record directly from
an outside input. I feel it's long overdue.

Next year there will another announcement of a third partner joining the Electro-Acoustic
Research family, along with Plan B and Synthbox. I'm not a liberty to go into what they
do,,,I do know however you'll dig it.

I look forwad to meeting you all at Namm, and until then I need to busy myself with those
preporations.

best,

- P
