Model 12 vr1 calibration methods?

Added by Peter: The trimpot on the M12 offsets the frequency pot to adjust when the front panel control starts to open the filter. I looked through the whole message history but couldn't find any documentation on adjusting Vr1 of the model 12 to calibrate the Filter cutoff range. Can anyone provide some tips or is it just done by ear? thanks!
