1u cgs pulse divider/logic panel 'upgrade'

Based on John Loffink's comments, I uploaded an 'upgraded' 1U cgs
pulse divider/logic panel to the cgs directory. This one now has
4.32mm holes , specifically for VCC 3mm LED panel mounts in the AND
and OR sections.

New to group

2002-10-30 by Larry Hendry

Hi gents. Someone saw fit to let me into the group. Apparently he
did not recognize me as the Stooge of Stooge panels and such.
<snicker>
Actually, Todd suggested I join. And, after I thought about it, I
thought this might indeed be a way for me to listen to what people
want to say openly about MOTM panels without doing it on Paul's list.

So, I am just a lurker here. I am also always looking for ways to
improve what Dave and I do with Stooge panels. The first thing being
a faster turn around.

I'm glad to see that Schaeffer is filling in a niche here. I wish
they used more of a textured finish like what Paul does. However, I
have to tell you that trying to duplicate that is the single biggest
hassle with Stooge panels.

Anyhow, thanks for letting me in. I'm looking forward to seeing what
goes on in here. :)

Later,
Larry

I recognized you, Larry :)

Yes, Schaeffer does fill a niche, but basically just because they make the
software easily available, and yes, the fast turnaround. If I had Visio and
knew how to design on it, I would probably order more, despite the wait. Of
course, now I have a lot of colored panels, which I wouldn't want to call a
halt on.

But I still order panels from you for that textured look, especially for
designs I want to match MOTM (Oakley's OMS modules), or ones that you
improved the module's design in conjunction with (Dark Star Chaos).

So I started this list, which is of course not meant to compete w/ Stooge
panels (even though I also have a MiniWave design up). If for some reason I
didn't mention them or someone doesn't know of them yet, check out the
Stooges' panels, which are a closer match to MOTM due to the textured
finish, and have matching silkscreening (Schaeffer is engraved).

Larry also sells PCB's of his cool dual octave- and semitone-switching
module.

Ah, shucks. And I thought I was incognito. :)

Go ahead and compete. Truthfully, I would be happy to have someone
compete me right out of the panel business. It is a huge pain that I
do for other reasons that monetary gain. But, as long as people are
interested, we will probably keep making them. :) I am glad that
there are other good alternatives.

Thanks. I'll try not to be a pain in the ass.
:)
