Anyone have a Front Panel Express file for Tellun's Neural Agonizer they would like to share. thanks

hi, just added an oakley/motm style neural agonizer fpd to the 'files' folder. you'll want to check dimensions just to be sure. it's the panel i have, but i havn't had time to build the module yet... anyone know that problem? anyhow, hopes this helps. andrew.

If a final version can be verified, I'm wondering if a group order can be put together to save money. I'll be getting 2 of these panels soon. -Chris

If you just got the Corel Draw version from Dave Bradley you should be able to dump a complete HPGL file, or partial HPGL files, and greatly reduce the FPE cost. just to clarify: when i say 'i've got that panel', i mean i have it in bubblewrap alongside the reverb tanks and circuit boards stashed away waiting to be built. i just need the time for something like that. steve thomas made the panel, along with many others for me, and deserves a plug here. http://www.cncpanels.co.uk/ as for checking dimensions, this is the fpd i sent to steve, and it fits my system. my system is based on the motm/oakley standard, but i stress *based*. i hope the design is of use to others, but check it first. and by the way, thanks for all the ideas thrown about here. andrew.

Thanks John, but I have an Agonizer panel already. Bought it long ago, along with the PCBs. Panels that I don't have are Bi N Tic, an Oakley 3x VCA. 3x LFO, and some EFM stuff. I'd like to get a silkscreen Bi N Tic, but for the others I'd probably be happy with a homebrew panel and label. Surprisingly, the Oakley EG panel label that I printed on my inkjet is still looking pretty good.

Hello, I've got Bi N Tic silkscreened panels. It uses a CGS Mixer PCB to provide Saw and Square Outs from the VCO, and ditches the Linear FM. See the pics in the Files section, under The Bridechamber. I'm not sure of the price til I hear back from my painters/silkscreeners, but it should be around $20-25. The Oakley designs you mention will be done in the next run, in a month or two. Cheers, Scott The Bridechamber

I've uploaded a file "TLN-156_2.fpd" in the files section. I based it on Richard Brewster's 3U wide MOTM 480 expansion panel. I changed the text and the arrangement to match the standard TLN-156 panel as seen on tellun.com. I used Dave Brown's HPGL tick marks for each pot, and coded my own HPGL box for the SERIES/PARALLEL switch. If anyone's interested, I'd appreciate it if they'd review it to see if there's anything that seems wrong or out of place. One thing I didn't bother doing was to make the tick mark numbers smaller than the knob labels. Also, the name of the module (at the bottom) uses the same size font for both lines, instead of the second line being slightly smaller. These could be easily changed if anyone wants that. Here's the price breakdown: 1-4 = $105.58 each 5-9 = $95.02 each 10-19 = $84.46 each These prices don't include shipping or tax. As long as the person buying this isn't in Washington state, tax shouldn't be an issue. I don't know what shipping will be, or the cost of shipping individual panels out to people if they want to do a group buy. Hopefully, it would be less than the price break for bulk ordering. Anyone know the cost of shipping (in a cheap yet safe way [USPS?]) a 3U FPE panel? Another thing someone mentioned is the possibility of seeing if Moe can give us the Corel file for the original TLN-156 artwork, or even better, convert it into an HPGL file and send it over. That could make this panel much cheaper. I think I read on the MOTM list that he's on vacation now, so maybe this can be put on hold until he comes back. Anyway, I'm going to get 2 of these eventually. To get the price break, we'd need at least 3 more of these being ordered. I'm willing to undertake the group buy if it seems feasible. -Chris

You mentioned them both. I always use 3 mm text with a 0.9 x-scaling for the controls and 2.5 mm text for the tic marks. I also use 0.2 inch mounting holes. Otherwise looks good to me. I just got an email from frontpanelexpress yesterday that I almost deleted unread as spam. You might want to order before August 1st. "The cost of aluminum has increased in recent months by 60%. Because of this increase, we must adjust our pricing schedule to offset this expense. Our new pricing will be effective August 1, 2006." I have more FPE panels than any other kind: 26 of them. (20 MOTM, 14 Stooge, 1 Cyndustries, 1 Encore). I don't know if I'll do any more DIY panels. I've made good use of Front Panel Express the last four years (and Stooge, too). With kits dwindling and FPE prices increasing, I may be adding mostly assembled MOTM panel modules from now on, mainly from Synthtech of course. But who knows what Cynthia, Encore, or Blacet might come out with in MOTM format. Richard Brewster http://www.pugix.com djbrow54 wrote:
