PAiA MIDI2CV panel

PAiA MIDI2CV panel

2004-12-22 by djbrow54

I just finished a panel for my PAiA MIDI2CV in an 1U MOTM format.

I used Mountain thumbswitches for the MIDI channel and program
select. I had to add a set of invertors and pullup resistors
to use these switches. I used a blank spacer between the two
thumbswitches for more space and of course it's backordered.
The photo shows a bit of foam as an interim spacer.

I added a 6 pin MTA connector for power and used the Stooge
jack brackets to mount the pcb.

Schaeffer design file in the "DJB designs" folder.

Looks great. Do you have a part number for those MIDI jacks? I will
be needing some good quality MIDI jacks that I can attach to a Stooge
panel. Looks like you've found some.

They are Mouser 16HR655 @ 5.04 each. They are front mounted with a
rear nut and work quite well. I've used a half a dozen for different
projects. They have an anti-rotation tang and it requires a small
notch in the hole. I just filed out the first one but my later
Schaeffer files have this detail. They also have a black version
but I prefer the nickel finish.
