dotcom panel for Yusynth Random Gates module

Re: dotcom panel for Yusynth Random Gates module

Hey Russ - There are few if any dotcom .fpd files here, as the panels that fpe produces don't really translate into the dotcom world well. however, with a little creativity I bet you could come up with something that'd work - so get out a ruler, sharpen up your protractor and have at it!

I'm on the same quest (sort of). I have the Random gates module kit on order and am planning to build my own panel for the dotcom 5U/MU format.

So far the trouble is silkscreening the graphics on a blank dotcom panel (for me that is). I don't have the problem with the layout and am not using FPE. I plan to make my own print screen for the white panel markings.

As a matter of fact that is one of the reasons I joined here. To learn more about silk screen printing on metal panels.

Hi David

Get in touch with Ben at Synthnuts he is making panels for yusynth modules
or other 5U formats for a very reasonable price.

Thanks Yves. I've mailed for an RFQ. I'll probably go for a screen printed dotcom panel over the etched Moog style. I like both but the painted ones are more my preference. Nice to have a choice!

A screen printing guy a was talking to about this pointed something out to me:
If you're printing onto a painted or coated metal panel you are not printing onto metal. You are printing onto whatever material it is coated or painted with.
Obvious, I know, but it didn't occur to me until he pointed that out.

Such unassailable logic is what makes you so potent Phil! ;^)
