Thanks! Looks good. Does anyone know what stock / process he uses for his decals?

Also wondering for those who have used hole punches before -- I have a handheld, and it's my experience thus far that I can't punch into a finished panel without scarring the decal around the hole a bit. Usually there is a ring left over at the end. Would getting a table punch (not that I can afford it) solve this problem? Any other suggestions?

It's obviously much better to be able to decal first, then punch, as JP seems to do.

And lastly, where is this SDIY group? I've looked for it on yahoogroups and only find dead groups littered with spam.

This is what JP had to say about his process:

Sorry i lunched. Thanks for saving me Scott
I was going to add that Jp's processes dovetail nicely into the prepunched and the oops panels from BC If you are just doing standard work
I have been seeing overlays of all types on high end gear and on short lived products like the mighty Alesis Mod FX boxes. It is cheap and viable.
When I was working on EMS panel redo I got a very reasonable start up quote on a pair of metallic stick on overlays punched and affixed by the fab house, that is with user supplied punched panels.

I was thinking of doing that for my ASM2 and perhaps the same for the Doepfer DIY Even though their heated VCO is lamer than shit.
