10 days to order...

10 days to order...

2002-10-22 by tsomneevich

Hi Group,

Ten days til the order! All the files are up in the files section, so
anyone interested in these panels, please let me know soon. Any
posted file is available for order, or anything from Oakley.

Also, any comments, issues, or general feedback on the designs are
very much appreciated. See a mistake? Believe me, I'd love to know
now instead of when the panels arrive :)

The more panels we order, the more we save. If you don't see a design
you want, that's what this list is for. Design it and post it, or
urge one of the current designers to do it. Another order is
hopefully going out in January, but I urge anyone w/ an interest in
the current list to order now so that we can all save some cash...

Let the modular madness continue!
Scott

I'm doing another panel design for the Blacet EG-1 VC Event Generator. It
will be different from the design by Jeffrey Pontius. I will have this
ready in a day or two for upload to the Blacet section in the files. I
definitely want to get two of these ordered.

How do I go about putting in an order, BTW?

Thanks,

Richard Brewster

Just to keep things all nice and tidy, you can email me your orders, and
I'll update the list. If you want an alternate of the same design, it will
be on its own line in the database (i.e., Richard Brewster design).

Thanks,
Scott

Re: [motmpanels] 10 days to order...

2002-10-24 by Richard Brewster

I have uploaded a design for the Blacet EG2070 to the Richard Brewster
Designs file folder. The filename is blacet2070-2.fpd.

Scott, I want to order two panels from blacet2070-2.fpd. Thanks. Anything
else I need to do? Just let me know.

About the EG2070 panel. Apart from the cosmetics like tick marks, font
height, my favorite hole sizes and so on, which were chosen to match my
other designs, there are two features worth noting. I substitued a SPDT
On-Off-Momentary On toggle switch for the gate button. This is the one
labelled GATE on top and TRIG on the bottom. It is center off. If you
press down, it acts like a pushbutton. The up position will hold the gate
on, which is useful for LFO mode.

The second feature is the TIMES input and TIMES attenuator pot. Instead of
a level-attenuated output, I have another VC input, attenuated, that affects
Attack, Decay, and Release times simultaneously. I wanted to make it easy
to track all of these together. The TIMES input sums with the individual VC
inputs for those parameters.

BTW, the style of putting the 'OUT' label between jacks labelled '+' and '-'
imitates the MOTM-800 EG.

I tried designing with the MOTM spacings and couldn't get the same number of sockets on the panel so I tweaked and re-uploaded my original file.  I would like to place an order for this design.  It's the diy_cvkb.fpd in the DIY Designs, Schematics folder.  Let me know what I need to do.  I can pay via paypal when appropriate. - Dave

5 new cgs 1U panel designs uploaded

2002-10-25 by Jeffrey Pontius

To satisfy my 1U cgs panel mania, I've uploaded 5 1U cgs designs to the
files section. Please read below for some pertinent details if you are
interested in using/modifying these. Also, please let me know if I've
made any errors.

(1) cgs.asr.fpd: Dual analog shift register. Scott has a very nice panel
design that has 2 jacks for each shift output, mine does not. Both are
almost exactly the same price, so Scott's has more 'bang for your buck.'

For most of the following, Scott has nice 2U panels with more features.
Check his out also. However, if you are into 1U panels, the following
have the essentials.

(2) cgs.gatedcomp.fpd: Has the basic in's and out's with 3mm led's (close
fit, but checking 5 times with Switchcraft 112A's, fit should be ok).
Note that this panel is a "9 row" socket panel compared to the standard
motm style 8 rows of sockets. The 9 row is based on the Oakley oms-410
panel design and the cgs wave multiplier designs of mine.

(3) cgs.masterdivider.rotary.fpd: Master divider with 1 through 6
outputs, 1 through 6 180 outputs and one rotary switch for 90 and 270
outputs. One 3mm led for each original and 180 output (on for original,
off for 180), except for output 1 since the motm rails are in back of ~1
and 1. Let me know if the rotary numbering makes sense. This is also
based on the 9 row style.

(4) cgs.synthaconvcf.fpd: Synthacon type filter with 2 cv inputs, one
attenuated the other not. For using these 2 cv inputs you need to add a
mixer (as verified by Ken).

(5) cgs.vcdivider.fpd: Dual vc divider. This is not analogous to any
motm style and the pot knobs and sockets will not line up with knobs
and sockets on motm style panels. Based on the recent pcb's that have
the stair up and down outputs.

Comments appreciated, Jeff
