Blacet Miniwage

Blacet Miniwage

The Blacet / Wiard Miniwave is available sans panel, another version is sans Jacks and Panel.  That will save us a few dollars for us classic form factor types.
This is a very important module to have if you are going to get into synthesis in a deep way.  Up off the notation paper so to speak.

I wish John would just issue a pcb with ROM version with a with a firm no tech support warranty.
I also wish he would make a universal step up panel for his 2 u modules

I love Blacet stuff but i rarely use any of the parts in his kits. There is nothing wrong with his stuff but sorting and measuring parts when you have a stocked workshop is .. you know..
I had an early half diy version of his "voice"  in a cabinet under two big Moog like sequencer with an adaptor panel.  The perfect place for that form factor. I believe form factor is cased on utility. If I use it a whole lot : MOTM/Moog, a little bit or space encumbered Euro, complexity deep functionality: stcaking Pomona.

I've just uploaded a bunch of fpd files, and pictures of what I built with them - all in the sduck folders (both files and pictures section)

The miniwave file is a direct fit for the Board level-1 kit that Blacet sells - uses his pots and knobs and leds in the same spacing as his panel does, so it's a perfect fit. You just need to add 2 switches and the jacks.

There are a few other Blacet panels like this I've designed, a Binary Zone one, and the Dark Star Chaos 2000. Note that all of these have partial cavities around the pot holes - if you use the stock pots that come with these kits these cavities are necessary so that the pot nuts will fit. See the pictures - the knobs cover these cavities once they're installed.

I've also designed a pair of replica blacet>MOTM adaptor panels, similar to what Blacet used to sell. Again, in the sduck files folder. One is with the drilled jack holes at the bottom, one without.

I realize that not everyone is going to like my colored labels - feel free to change them back to white (or no-fill) if you want.
