Polyfusion formant filter need help ua739

2010-03-30 by gino wong

I just got a clean Polyfusion formant filter pcb. I need a UA739 or a subcircuit to replace it.

I figure since it is a one off that I can use a panel that is close, 9 or 12 pots, 1-3 in 1-3 out.

If anybody wants an image before I start on it let me know.
I also have a clean set of AS1 sequencer pcbs

best

Hi Gino,
If that's the one from the 'bay then I nearly bid against you, but decided to let it go! I would love any scans of the boards that you could do... I once had a complete Polyfusion Modular with the AS1 and the expander unit too. It went off to Hans Zimmer to fuel his wall buidling! This was before the days when I had a scanner other than one of those push along ones and my 35mm camera had a fault so all I have is a pile of very feint slides :-(
Good luck on your 739 hunt!

All the best,

Ben

Gino,

I'm not sure where you are based, but I found a couple of UK based retailers that appear to have these chips in stock.

One is Nikko Electronics, here:

Nikko

and one is Cricklewood Electronics, here:

Cricklewood

The search on Cricklewood also throws up a few possible equivalents that may come in useful.

Regards

Mike
