Eurorack FPD files?

Eurorack FPD files?

2010-01-26 by b_rachielles

Howdy folks. I've noticed in the file section that the Euro selection is pretty anemic. Does anyone have any empty Euro panel FPD files, maybe in the 10-18 HP range that they could upload or email directly? I'm petrified that if I try to get the mounting hole locations correct on my own, that I'll screw up and end up with useless panels.

Thanks a bunch.

If you want the oval holes that people often use, you can use the software itslelf to put these in.

I forgett exactly where it is, but if you find "insert system holes" and then choose "partial front panel" they will get put in for you.

If there are any additional holes, these can be deleted in the normal way.

Otherwise ill have to look up the locations for round holes for you.

I've posted several euro version fpd files to the "files" section of the group. I followed the measurements set out on the www.doepfer.de website.

Go tothe Doepfer site and pick your language, then select the "Products" button on the left. Under the Analog A-100 Modular System, you'll see a list of links. Click on the "Mechanical Details" link and scroll down. They have a great diagram on where the holes should go and panel widths.

Email if you have a question. I've built three or four panels based on this and they fit perfectly.

Thanks for the replies. I am interested in round holes, rather than than oblong.

I went ahead and created a euro12hp.fpd file in the "Panel Proposals" folder that I think is correct. Would someone mind verifying that I've got the hole placement correct? If so, I'll go ahead and create a whole range of blank, mounting hole only Euro panels for people to use as templates.

Most likely, I'll order a few blank panels with these templates just to verify that they fit correctly.
