Mattson Mini Modular assembled boards now available for DIY

Re: [ModularSynthPanels] Mattson Mini Modular assembled boards now available for DIY

What do the PCBs look like? Or did I miss that?

For my money, I'd probably still go with MOTM or other (ahem) boards since nothing looked too different except maybe the VC Mixer.
As a standalone gigging modular it looks like a ton of fun, plus I'd love anything with "Jim Patchell" on it!!!!!!

Go to the store and look at the individual modules. Most have an
assembled board available for $75.00. Time to crank up the panel design
software for these! And how about a Bridechamber bracket with holes to
match the MMM boards?

Happy New Year,

The VC mixer is a steal!  I'll be doing a few of those.

Read this discussion thread on Muff Wiggler:

There is a photo of the boards included.

Some of the MMM modules are interesting, such as the VCA with two
different modulation inputs. The buffered multiple is a great idea,
too. That one would have a simple panel.

I just ran across this link, which has all the details, including photos
of each board in detail.

Nice!

I did a layout for the VC Mixer, which I may sneak onto the next run,
which will be another huge one.

Serge VCF and VCS panels should be done this week!

Re: [ModularSynthPanels] Mattson Mini Modular assembled boards now available for DIY

2010-01-10 by Richard Brewster

The VC Mixer is appealing. I did a 1U FPD panel for it, using the 1"
grid I've been playing around with. I also did the active multiple, to
which I added 4 pots as attenuators on the inputs. That makes it into
four active attenuators.

Regarding the Serge VCS panels.... YABADABADOOOOOO! I already have the
PC boards and all parts waiting for two of those.

Do you have parts kits for the VCS. Not posted on the site parts kits page.

Yup, I think it's there. $20 for the component kit. Once the panels are in I'll put full kits on the site too.

Re: [ModularSynthPanels] Mattson Mini Modular assembled boards now available for DIY

2010-01-23 by Richard Brewster

I just received my VC Mixer board from Mattson. I'm putting it into a
1U FPE panel with 3/4-inch MOTM type knobs. I'm still refining that
panel design and will upload it to the files section when done.

Mounting the PC board can't use a Bridechamber 3-jack bracket, because
the board mounting holes are on 2.5-inch centers, exactly the width of
the bracket. I'll have to get creative.
