New BrideChamber Klee Panel BOM

New BrideChamber Klee Panel BOM

2009-12-04 by stevemodularland

I'm at Version 1.3 now- I tested the Alpha pot and it works fine- a bit grungy compared to a Spectrol but will do the job...

I'm wrapping up my Klee PCBs this week and will test the rest of the parts and send the whole package to Todd for front panel assembly soon- so there may be further BOM changes but I didn't want to leave anyone hanging...

I will be doing mine in banana jacks!

I was just pinging Bridechamber and Thomas about this. My PCBs are done
need to populate the panel. Thanks a lot for uploading this.

HPGL for FPD

2009-12-04 by David Moylan

I've been working on getting some FPD files together for Ken Stone's
Quad Logic Gates and wanted to use graphic representations instead of
text. To that end I needed to be able to import HPGL files and also to
create them.

I downloaded the free InkScape program which is a scalable vector
graphics program that can export HPGL. I was able to create a suitable
OR symbol and import into FPD. So a good solution for those trying to
create graphics for FPD files. The interface is a little hard to get
used to because the SVG files tend to work with paths rather than pixels
but it's doable.

Hi Dave,

I got Inkscape for the same reason, and it does seem to work! One thing I've not been able to achieve though is converting text into HPGL, it will convert everything else. You may not have noticed if you're just using it for symbols, but if anyone has any ideas on how to convert text to HPGL using Inkscape I'd be most appreciative!

Bridechamber Panel Changes...

2009-12-05 by James Elliott

Scott, what changes are going to take place with your MFOS ADSR and Oakley VCLFO panels?

The ADSR is going to lose the LED and inverted output, and add a manual gate -- an easier, un-modded build.
Oakley VC-LFO is being redone, I've heard. So only get this one if you have the current PCB. There are only four left.

Re: New BrideChamber Klee Panel BOM

Note that I'm still waiting for feedback on the BOM- if you can wait like 1 or 2 weeks I will receive all the parts on that BOM and test them with the BrideChamber panel... The alpha pots and 1/4" jacks are fine of course- but I just ordered the switches and LEDs today...

Save precious $ - wait a couple weeks and I'll 100% validate that everything works...

Just buy a hardware kit from Bridechamber! : )

22 16mm Alpha pots, a rotary switch, 23 mini "Alco" knobs, 52 switches, 2 pushbuttons, 19 jacks, 21 LEDs and bezels for $180.

Or...
Where I get the stuff (sorry, no time to do BOM, need to put up orders!) --
pots Mouser
rotary Mouser
knobs Jameco
switches All Electronics
pushbuttons... not sure. they're medium size; holes will need enlarging a bit.
jacks Bridechamber
leds anywhere
bezels one-piece plastic dealies from Mouser

yupperz.

I'm in the market for better LED bezels, though, that aren't too expensive. Any leads?

As you know Scott I always buy parts kits from you when appropriate :-) But I'm making my Klee Modcan style with knobs/banana jacks and not MOTM style...

Plus its good once in a while to go through the BOM process myself to keep me on my toes...

Traitor!
; )

BOMs... they're getting harder and more dated every day, it seems.
