I posted a picture of a finished, Bridechamber DoubleDeka. I'm not aware of an online picture of the finished panel, so I thought I'd share it with the group. It's in the new DoubleDeka photo album. I think (no bias, surely!) that the DD looks stunning with it's sliders in the MOTM format. Enjoy, Greg

Certainly is nice looking! Those long pointer knobs for the octave switches remind me too much of old ham radio gear. Check out the ALCO pointer knob I recently found. There's a photo and a Mouser part number for it on my blog of the Resonant Lopass Gate. http://pugix.com/synth/resonant-lopass-gate/ Richard Brewster phzzzit wrote:

That's the one Will and I have been using for rotary switches and I think it's what Paul uses - but I have no idea where I got that impression, now I look things over. Is the 510 Wavewarper the only Synth Tech module with a rotary switch? Hmmm. Well, anyway, Will and I like that knob a lot and used it on the Triple Chorus, LoPass Gate, etc. Bill and Will --- In ModularSynthPanels@yahoogroups.com, Richard Brewster <pugix@...> wrote:

Oh - no - sorry... PKGP-70B-1/4 isn't the one we used. I was thinking of the PKAP-70B-1/4 knob. That's what we've been using. Bill and Will --- In ModularSynthPanels@yahoogroups.com, "wjhall11" <wjhall@...> wrote:

Those PKES-60 knobs are the smaller version of the standard MOTM knob, the same ones I use on many of my "small knob" utility modules. They're not so good for rotary switches (depends on the firmness of the switch) because they don't have flat section to grip between thumb and forefinger. I've been using this knob for rotary switches when I need a small knob (thanks to Dave Brown): Davies 1510AH, Mouser P/N 5164-1510AH When I can use a big knob I use Cosmo 7607 "chicken-beak" knobs (same as used on Minimoog octave selector). But these aren't easy to get, I bought a bunch from Stooge Larry years ago.

Very nice! I posted some pics of my build of the DD a while back on flickr, and it made the run of the usual synth blogs, but in case you missed it, links - http://www.flickr.com/photos/sduck409/3705964182/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/sduck409/3705963602/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/sduck409/3705155153/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/sduck409/3705154485/ No chicken head knobs, despite the fact that I like them - just the same pointer knobs I've used for everything else, and that Paul uses - mouser part No. 506-PKAP70B1/4. You'll also note that I'm missing a bunch of screws holding the sliders in - Scott was running short so some of us only got the bare minimum - hopefully the rest will get here someday. It's a great sound vco, besides looking cool! --- In ModularSynthPanels@yahoogroups.com, "phzzzit" <gjames@...> wrote:

I am ready to submit some panels and decided I don't want to pay the extra money to infill the engravings. What can I use to fill them myself? My first thought is a white crayon but is there something better to use? David

Looks great! How does one remove the excess without taking it out of the engraving? David

I just ordered a pair of Euro Rack format Living VCO panels I put together from Schafer. I'll throw the fpd files up on the site if anyone wants them. They can be adapted to Frac (my "native" format), but it works well as a 42HP Euro module. The pot holes are for the 12 mm Alpha pots. 0.25 inch on the jacks and switches. 0.375 for the Precision multi-turn Vishay pots. The "trim" pots are for convenience in tuning and use a multi-turn trim, Vishay 3/4 inch, model 43, 100K - Mouser #594-43P101 Vishay #043P101 (I think any 3/4 inch trim pot will work) in a Vishay panel mount adapter Mouser #594-610; Vishay #006-1-0. The label above the FM and PWM in on VCO 1 reflect that I am going to normal all the FM's and PWM's so it will be easier to use as an ensemble. Hope it helps someone. David David M. I also uploaded some updated and new Frac and another euro panel, including some "tiny" OScope modules, fixed filter bank, MOTM 300 VCO, and some others. Please feel free to email with questions or comments. They are all in the Euro Rack directory and the Frac Rack directory. Enjoy. David David M. Ingebretsen M.S., M.E.
