That'd be a good idea. IIRC, the control servo in the SN Voice has a cap to overcome the pickiness exhibited by the XR VCO, but it sure wouldn't hurt for someone to try it out.

I can do a swap out and see how the Sn Voice copes with the 74 op amp and post the results later

I can do a swap out and see how the Sn Voice copes with the 74 op amp and post the results later

Just had another coffee and swapped the chips and as Mr.Stites predicted all is well with the TL074 but I'm still putting the LF444 back in :)
