More on the way in a couple weeks, but these should go fast, so don't

I reckon I could. I'll look into it. I doubt I'll stock the actual SN
for it, at least not yet, but they're available on the web.

I think I have it all in stock, if subbing a TL074 is OK, which I
imagine it is.
Anyone know for sure?

I come up w/ $32 for components only (no SN chip!), $100 w/ pots,
knobs, jacks, switches.

Subbing it for what??

Re: [ModularSynthPanels] Nine New Panels

Sorry, subbed for 444. I don't know what the specs on those are, though
I regularly sub 072 for 442 in MFOS stuff (except VCO).
Maybe a 324 would be a safer bet in case there's some power rail action
going on. That sure was tech talk.

That'd be a good idea.  IIRC, the control servo in the SN Voice has a cap to overcome the pickiness exhibited by the XR VCO, but it sure wouldn't hurt for someone to try it out.

Cheers,

Scott (Stites)

I remember something about the 444 not being subbed in a circuit but I think it was the XR-2206 Based VCO

I can do a swap out and see how the Sn Voice copes with the 74 op amp and post the results later

I need some more coffee

I remember bugs saying that the LF442 couldn't be swapped, at least not in his pcb layout for the XR VCO.
Mine already has the TL074 in there by the way.

Just had another coffee and swapped the chips and as Mr.Stites predicted all is well with the TL074 but I'm still putting the LF444 back in :)

The 444 consumes less current, as I recall, and that's usually a good thing.
