Next Round....

Next Round....

2008-05-14 by James Elliott

Scott, have you started on your next round of panels yet? If yes, what are they? If no, what are you planning on ;)

Are you going to offer panels for the Ian Fritz & Wogglebug circuits? And how about some of those super-cali-fragelous-expie-aela-docious-crazy CGS modules (burst gen, logic modules, ASR, etc).....

My wallet wants to give you more money!

Re: [ModularSynthPanels] Next Round....

2008-05-14 by Scott Deyo

I'm hounding my metal guys, but they've been busy. I think they have
the metal already, but they have to finish the design proofs so I can
OK them, and then they'll take a couple days to punch them. Then off to
the painters/ silkscreeners... I'm hoping two weeks.

What are they? Good question! : )
2U 'Bug, 3U SN Voice, Ian's stuff... what else? I can't remember!

I really want to catch up on Jurgen's and CGS stuff after this, plus
the CVS, plus some more Tellun and MFOS and Oakley, plus the Double
Wogglebug, more Ian stuff, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Well, that is the current round. The next round (which I'll be starting
even before this one is done) will have the other Jurgen stuff and CVS
for sure.

I've got some of your KITS  on the radar Scott, thanks for providing these!

It's probably mentioned somewhere but these panels/kits look like their MOTM size/style am I correct?

I have a synth.com PS and got the MOTM daughter board to power MOTM modules off of them.

Am I on the right track?

Yes I am a full on newbie... FNG (phunking New Guy)

This is my first post here BTW...

Welcome Steven,

Correct, they are all for MOTM. DotCom is on the way, but I've been
saying that for a year now. Really, though, I will get them done.

You are indeed on the right track w/ the power supply.

Hi Scott and others -

Any chance of a Klee sequencer panel? Ala Will and Bill or
ClickrMike's designs? I've got almost everything together to build one
except for the panel. I've got an .fpd of a hybrid of the 2
aforementioned designs almost finalized, but the price - it's hard to
knock it under about 140$ even using all sorts of cost cutting tricks.

As there may not be much demand for it, I'm not holding my breath, but
sometimes just mentioning things gets the blood running. So to speak.

Actually, I'd be all for a slider version of the Klee. I did the
"Milton-esque" version in case I couldn't find sliders that worked
well. I really think it needs to fit into 8 or 10 U max.

Woah! A slider version of the Klee? Count me in! I was thinking I'd
have to bug you to do a one-off for me. As long as it fits in 8U, you
have my money.

Scott, I'd love it if you did a Klee panel!! especially with sliders
in MOTM format!!! If this were to be a reality, when could we hope to
see the Klee panel? And how much? I'm working on a FPD panel, but
this is my first one and I don't really want to spend all that money
and realize when I got it I made some stupid little errors.

To be realistic, that probaby won't be done until mid-summer at the
earliest.
But it will probably be around $100 less than FPE.

Re: Next Round....

I'm fairly new to this DIY thing (only built a few modules that I got
from you) so I'm not looking to build this till later after I gain
more experience on other things, probably end of summer.

It looks like such a cool project and sequencer and it is so well
documented that I have to try making it :) And if you make the panel
it will make things a lot easier for me (and probably a lot of other
people out there too).

Were you planning on putting all the bells and whistles onto the
panel? I hope so :)

Well, the sliders would be on a PCB behind the panel, so it wouldn't be
a mounting nightmare.

Re: Next Round....

Nope, I'm a Moog/Polyfusion man myself. and even though the the Arp sequencer is great
it's the quantizer not the crappy pots. Any linear pot but the best self sealing 100mm
faders are more trouble than they are worth. They get dirty, wear out, must be replaced. If
you can get one, how much does a crap Arp pot go for ? Then there is the other great
sequencer , the EML 400 another slider nightmare. Then again I only use parametric EQs.

Ok, I'm going to get 1 slider panel but I have 2 Klee and I want a knobby one.
