Modular Synth Panels

What do most people do with pots that have locating lugs /
anti-rotation tabs? Cut them off? I didn't see any fpd designs in
the file library that account for these. I was considering doing a
panel that had holes that the tabs can slip into, but am curious why
nobody else does this.
