Forgive my restatement of the obvious, but I would buy the MOTM ladder board + components ($100 w/Shipping). Should not take long to assemble. Alternately, buy the DOTCOM version & remove the assembled pcb ($200). Note that there are a couple of controls (Freq/Res) which you'll probably have to add (perhaps as small knobs on the back?).
