Modular Synth Panels

Is there a consensus on the big multi turn knobs vs a coarse / fine arrangement?  I recently built a LVCO in Euro for bbow73 (picture at Muff's).  We used the big multi turn gym locker knobs.  They're cool,but they're not cheap. 

Scott - If you go with a big knob setup PLEASE ADD THE SMALL ANTI-ROTATION HOLE.

P.S. Be sure to add the small antirotation hole.  It needs to be perfect.  I'm handy with my drill press, but it really needs to be perfect.  I think I spent half a day getting those things lined up.
