Hi Gino - I'm back in the east!
So first, I set my attention to the Krautrock panel-lamp-holder problem. Found a great solution and posted it here:

It worked out great. Now to get a step-drill big enough to drill the required 11/16" hole in the panel.
Tonight I'll work on the transistor tester.
