James, royalties don't automagically "kick in" due to someone's use in a for-profit business. A royalty obligation arises only if the owner of the intellectual property requires it in his terms of use, and of course only the owner could so require. E-M does not own the Thomas White elliptical panel design, and so has no right to require a royalty. As Bill said, if Thomas White wanted a royalty he would be entitled to it, and I doubt any of us would begrudge it.
