Pushbuttons are a big pain to me because of the variation. I'm thinking .25" because the MOTM "standard" is a momentary toggle like the 'ills are going to do, though many of us may use .5" pushbuttons. Then the issue arises of the silkscreen label, which needs to be farther away from the .25" hole than the other switches, which is fine if you're using the .5", but a bit goofy if you're using a toggle. For the Tellun gate I used .5", but on the JH Krautrock I think I did .25" with the legend farther up than usual. It's a muddle.
