Re: [ModularSynthPanels] HPGL for Logic gate symbols

2008-09-14 by Richard Brewster

I labeled the inputs as A and B and the outputs of my Quad Logic Gates
as A+B. I meant the + symbol to be generic, knowing that I might change
the chip, which indeed I did.

I recommend using an I.C. socket for the logic chip, so that you can try
different ones. My favorite is the CD4077, XNOR. I use it often as a
pulse inverter (mine go +/-5V) with just the A input and the A+B
output. It does digital ring modulation using both inputs.

Remember, all four gates use the same logic. You would need multiple
Quad Logic Gate boards to have a selection of different logic. Still,
you can combine logic using the quad. For instance, if you patch an
XNOR out to the A input of a second XNOR, the second's output is XOR of
the first's inputs.
