Gino,
Quite honestly, no i don't see where you're going with this.
BUT I'll put in my $.02 on a topic suggested by your subject line.
This particular group was originated primarily as a forum for folks
to share DIY modular synth panel designs... primarily in FPD format,
and primarily for MOTM style designs, tho not exclusively on either
count. Stooge panels was the other source for such panels at the
time, but for the most part these were complimentary rather than
overlapping endevors.
I'm very glad that Scott/Bridechamber has stepped up to fill the
void left by the end of Stooge industries, and I very much support
him and hope his business thrives. But (and PLEASE NOBODY
MISINTURPRET THIS AS A CRITICISM--IT IS NOT), I think this forum has
kind of morphed int a support vehicle for Bridechamber. Obviously,
nobody's preventing anybody from posting new FPDs or talking about
DIY panels, but the majority of traffic seems to be specific to
Bridechamber products and designs he supports, such as Ian's and now
Yves' (AGAIN, I AM SO GREATFUL FOR IAN AN YVES AND THEIR VERY
GENEROUS CONTRIBUTIONS).
So, bringing this back perhaps to Gino's subject line: I think a new
forum or yahoo group specifically dedicated to bridechamber product
support would be a Very Good Thing. Properly structured, it might
very well provide the kind of ongoing product specifc resource that
would benefit us all. Just my NSHO.
