Thanks Tom. > But I have to ask, what sort of panels might fall into > the "illegal" category of panels? Tom, nothing is "illegal." All DIY panels are OK in Stooge land no matter what they are. Stooge panels was created with DIY in mind. Let's just say that Paul has a paranoid uncomfort level with certain panels being discussed on "his" list. This centers around what he views as competition from Oakley and Blacet for circuits that Paul sells. For example, since he is about to release a VCEG, having a Stooge panel for the Blacet VCEG well ahead of his planned module release is something he views will kill his sales. So, he was OK, with the Blacet Miniwave, Time Machine, and Dark Star. He is not so cool with the Blacet VCO, VCA and EG which he sees as bread-and- butter competition. Now, whether one subscribes to Paul's point of view or not is certainy not the issue. My point would be if I don't make the panels, someone else will (this list proves that). But, I have found the best thing to do is simply not to discuss panels that bother Paul on Paul's list. So, we are willing to make just about anything in Stooge land. I just have some that I ask those who buy not to discuss on Paul's list out of respect for Paul's wishes not to have them discussed on that list. Now, if I truly believe that a particular panel will dig into MOTM sales, then I draw my own line and choose not to do them. Other vendors are available. So, everyone can do their own thing. I have to do what I think is right too. So, you will probably never see me do a 3rd party EG (other than DIY). I'm sorry to drag this diuscussion onto this list. I promise to shut up about it. I only did so because Tom asked. And, I wanted to assure Tom that Stooge panels will never turn down a DIY panel request. I'm happy to have a forum where list members can discuss Stoooge panels and other vendors designs without fear of criticism of MOTM competition. You will never hear that from me. Thanks for letting me ramble. I'll shut up now and be sure to let you guys know when Moe and I get ready to run panels (soon). But, I am always happy to see guys buying Schaeffer too. More panels = more brackets. "I'm rich I tell you, I'm rich." <snicker> Stooge Larry __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
