Reverb or no...

Reverb or no...

2005-07-14 by Jack Younger

Hello everyone!
Just a recent curiosity of mine; a friend and I
at the studio were discussing the use of reverb on
mellotron. We talked primarily about the sonic
differences on recordings in which mellotron was run
through verbs or left dry in the mix. This leads me
to two questions for all of you:

-Do you, as a melltronist, generally use reverb or do
you prefer a dry signal?
-If there is a preference, why?

Just thought I'd throw that out there!
Cheers!

We like it dry, because we like our listeners to hear the imperfections
of the sound, but if you ask Norm, he'll tell you he likes it with a
delay ay ay y y ...

Personal prefs, that's all!
