Pinch rollers etc

I agree exactly, but to many cost is the limiting factor. I don't know how much Streetly charge for grinding the rollers so it may be that's a lot more cost effective than replacing with new. I looked at my rollers this summer and 50% of the 52 were as hard a rock and some very crumbly. I tried grinding some down, taking the edges off, soaking in rubber rejuvenator but still could'nt adjust the wobblies out. Also about 10 were stiff on their axles and wouldn't loosen up at all so definately need replacing. I asked Streetly about new rollers but Martin said they had not got the new ones made yet so I asked Markus to replace the 50% that were beyond repair. He made me a very decent and affordable offer to replace the whole set which I gratefully took him up on and this he did by return of post in exchange for my old keysprings. The nice new spongy rollers work a treat, it's much easier to adjust giving a lighter action and the wobblies have gone. The thing is if it was Streetly offering the rollers and at the same price and not Markus I would have bought them from them. I've said before I am very grateful we have 2 tron parts suppliers as competion and choice is a good thing and often where one can't supply the other can. If my M300 needs a good service there's no question it would go direct to Streetly, if my SSCU's knacker, I go to Streetly, if the motor burns out or the power supply blows up, I go to Streetly because I know they can deal with M300's; but if MA can supply something Streetly can't or are alot cheaper I go them instead. That's fair isn't it? Best John Quoting mark kasian <easle12@...>:
