Elton John vs. Van der Graaf Generator

Elton John vs. Van der Graaf Generator

2004-11-29 by David Davis

Yes but well VdGG did use a mellotron in Trident Studios like
about once or sthg ;-)
but more importantly, perhaps a good few on this list would
like to know that they've just announced a reunion London gig
(Royal Festival Hall) on Friday 7th May 2005!

And getting back to that slack wuss Elton John -
I love this story on the VdGG "Box" box set -
Reg Dwight and VdGG played a gig together in about 1970 or sthg.
Sir Elton was too scared to get changed in the same room as them.
Organist Hugh Banton hilariously said to him
"Call that piano playing?!? *YOU'RE RUBBISH*!)

And do you know readers - he could just have been right.

LEMMINGS!

Brilliant music in my opinion. VdGG that is. I wish they'd play the states.

Dear All,
I get scared to be in the same room as my stereo when listening to 'a plague
of lighthousekeepers'!

Some of the best scary mellotron ever towards the end of the track (the bit
that goes " I can see the lemmings coming...").

All the best,
Norm

on usenet that would have required a "c & c" warning.
as in "coffee and cats".
as in: don't read this with hot cofee in your hand
or acat on your lap...
