Three of the "things" that go bump in a 'tron or Chamberlin are those
ladies on the violins..
MythBuster time, folks.I have heard the story a zillion times that the
3-violin sound is three female violinists from the Lawrence Welk
Orchestra playing in Harry Chamberlin's bedroom. I have passed it on as
gospel, but is it merely urban legend? I have done google searches and
can only find one woman who played violin in the the Welk Orchestra that
might be from the early '50's, Josephine Goldman ("the first female
violinist to play with Lawrence Welk's orchestra").
Anyone out there with more info on this one??? Or any other of the
musicians that Harry got to play into his 'can'???
Vance..rosining up my tapes..
