I feel Clay's idea really bear looking into. With new models from both 
the Streetlys and Markus on the horizon, this is something that should 
be looked at seriously. I don't think there are many people using 
mellotrons that don't process the signal through something. A 
modification like this would be easy and inexpensive and allow the user 
to plug in whatever he/she wants (My echoplex online. Oh joy!) with 
little effort and handy control right on the panel.
