Every time you depressed a key, a tiny mallet would swing down and bang the proper ones on the back of the head to start them playing and would continue to do so until the key was released. Of course we'd have to put tiny little toilets in there in case they had to take a break. (never allowed while playing live or rehearsing). And we would have a tiny little musician's union. And come to think of it, because they're so small, we could build a tiny little dormitory in the bottom of the Tron and a lounge with tiny little bottles of ale for them to enjoy between gigs. And come to think of it, we could reward each of our tiny little musicians with an even tinier Mellotron of their own, with even tinier musicians in there. It would be sooo cool!!!!! Unless, of course our Mellotron fell out of the back of our truck on the way to a gig and got hit by a Tractor-trailer, or was accidentally dropped down a flight of stairs. Boy then we'd have some explaining to do! Frank (Mellotron inhabited only by the occasional spider, none of which has ever shown any musical proclivity at all.)
