A NEW sound: Sad Strings Of Doom And Destruction

A NEW sound: Sad Strings Of Doom And Destruction

2003-08-23 by tronbros@aol.com

Hello Everyone,

We have a new sound for you to savour. It is the Sad Strings or Strings of
Doom, with an excellent narrative by Mike 'Dicksplash' Dickson and two demos
from Norm'The Groin' Leeeeeeeeete. This is a lost tape, found restored and
coaxed into life. Your comments would be welcome as these events don't happen too
often.
NO APATHY - BY ORDER!!!!!!

Martin,

I like it! Stand up and take a bow for a job well done. I plan on
getting this one.

Rick (FSX 10030 -- you mean you didn't get me ALL the good string
sounds?!)

Gee, thanks, Just what I needed -- another great sound to have to work into
my sound configuration for #134. BRAVO!!

BTW, the site says, It had a lot of poor starts and finishes, poor middle
bits, poor pitching, duff players, cats howling, windbreaking and car accidents,
so it had to be coaxed into life. Sounds like Dickson was part of the
recording process.

Dear All,

I suppose I should be disqualified from commenting as I have already got a set but here goes...

An excellent sound that grows on you the more you play them, as you can hear from the demos they are packed with atmosphere.

Also advocate using the swell pedal plus some delay / reverb for the best effect. The demo did not use the swell pedal as I wanted to give an idea of the slower attack that they have as supplied. A very full sound, I played no more than three notes at any one time.

I love it...

All the best,
Norm
