Ryo's Mellotrons--REALLY NOW!!

Ryo's Mellotrons--REALLY NOW!!

2003-08-11 by mellotrongirl

Has he ever sold anything from the keyboard room? Do they wheel these
units into an adjacent recording studio when desired? I need to learn
Japanese and read the fine print before going 'off' on this one. At
least Kean's Audities gives the *museum pieces* a bit of excercise &
the opportunity to be on recordings. I'm kind of from the camp
that 'Trons are living breathing examples of expression...to the
point where I catch myself saying hello and goodbye to my M-400 when
I enter and leave the room. A different kind of fanticism, I guess!
The pics look like a climate controlled storage facility. At least
all the 'trons are in the same room so they can talk to one other. I
bet when the lights go out, it's party central.

Reminds me of the story of a vintage keyboard the members of Mother
Mallard's Portable Masterpiece Company had. Kean wanted it, and so
did the Smithsonian; and the band opted to give it to Kean as he
vowed to keep it maintained and active.

Ryo's shipping bills...I bet that's something to see.

(I'm tellin' ya--I'd like to know exactly what L. Ron Hubbard is
going to do with his Mk2...)

With regard to L. Ron Hubbard's Mellotron, I had the dubious distinction of
helping to deliver a Yamaha electric piano to his office many years ago. He
was dead then, so I doubt he'll be using it directly. With those people who
really knows. They and that place really creeped me out.

<<I catch myself saying hello and goodbye to my M-400 when I enter and leave

it's quite a relief to see that someone else does that. "hello toys!". a bit
like jf sebastian in 'blade runner'.
