not that anyone asked, but alright folks...

it's either time for:

1) our moderator to step in

2) time for this list to be declared off limits for politics
    and be declared a DMZ.

one or the other.
i vote for self-restraint and 2)
this is just NOT the place for it.

just my unsolicited two cents.

Our moderator summons his zen side and says, "Feh..".

Politics aside... The war in Iraq is an historically significant event
and many folks will be stirred to stand up and testify.  It's a case
of human issues affecting human beings.

On one hand, as musicians expressing our passion is one of the things
that makes us artists.  On the other hand, in a practical sense, this
isn't a useful forum to direct political views.

I would suggest a DMZ is a good idea as there will probably as many views on this as there are member on the list.
