Hello all.

I am looking for an original volume/swell pedal for my 400SM. I am hoping 
that someone in the group may have one or know someone who does. I am 
currently using a Roland EV-5 with less than desirable results.

I am also open to suggestions for an alternative, but I really would like to 
get an original. If anyone can help, please email me directly.

I understand how you feel about the Roland.  

I really recommend the Yamaha FC7, the "foot controller" that goes
with the Yamaha DX-7 and other models.  It's very nicely constructed,
works really well and makes the Roland look like a toy.  Last time I
checked they were readily available and reasonably priced.

Alternatively, the Ernie Ball pedals are built like tanks.  They used
to only be high impedance guitar models, but now medium impedance
keyboard models are available.

Works fine on #805, was $30 or so used at Daddy's Junky Music.

Note that it's not really a "swell" pedal as in the M400, which varied the 
volume within a certain range.  The FC7 goes from no sound all the way to 
11.  :-)
