That is a very *cool* anecdote, Charles!

Thanks for answering my question about who played it, too.

This is a dumb question, but is there a lot of tron in Seger's albums of
this time? You just don't hear him mentioned much.

Your band played Crimson stuff? Yikes, that must have pretty neat. Can't
imagine a prog cover band, except one that would play to the same small
(niche) audience. But for one brief shining moment, prog almost went
mainstream then. ELP albums going gold. Must have been cool. I barely
remember it, but it made its mark on me, that's for sure.

Thanks for that story,

Bill

Yes. I'll be at Baja Prog with my brother Gareth. We're going in his green
miata, so
when we cross the border into Baja we'll be blaring a track off the upcoming
Systems
Theory album, appropraitely entitled "Green Miata Baja Bound".

I'd like to go for all four days but it's not possible to take off part of
the work week --
darn it...I miss the hosts (Cast) and the lovely Japanese bondage-goddesses
(Arsnova).
Still, it will be cool to see a reconstituted Focus and PFM, and several
"unknowns".

Gene, I'll bring you a couple of demos discs in case we manage to sync up
while there. If it's cool in Mexicali, because of the weather [it's hailing
outside my window right now!], I'll wear a Systems Theory sweat shirt.

<shameless plug>
Systems Theory MP3s can be d/l from
http://systemtree.bizland.com/prc/systemstheory.htm
</shameless plug>

In fact, those in search of obscure and / or hard-to-find prog might
consider signing up at PRC [it's free and they don't bite]. Some of the
members do vinyl transcriptions of long OOP stuff. Every week has a
different d/l in MP3. Sometimes it's new demos by members; sometimes it's
something tasty that hasn't yet made it to CD.
