We'd like to make an unusual appeal for help to everyone on this
list, and to explain a little about what's happening at present.
The fact is that Woolly has been suffering from severe depression
for some time. In the last few weeks his mental state has got
worse and the upshot was that last weekend he was admitted to a
psychiatric hospital in York. What is really needed now is
encouragement, and for him to get a sense of how much he and his
music mean to people, so we would like to ask all BJH fans all
around the world to send him a card or a letter, and with any luck
he will be overwhelmed by the response. The address is:

It goes without saying that he is in no fit state to think about 
recording or playing concerts at the moment. However, anything
which we can do to help him out of his depression now makes it
much more likely that he will be able to thrill us again with
his music in future.
