At one time he had 5 trons, the MK II, an M300 (used on Watching and
Waiting), and 2 MK V's. The M300 and a MK V got lost is a fire. Mike
eventually sold the other two trons afterwards. He now uses samples from the
trons he used.

They just used the Chamberlain n the studio. When the song were done live,
the trusty MK II was used. I have a bootleg of a 1974 Tokyo concert that I
can make a copy of. The guy who recorded it was more on Mike Pinder's side
of the stage, the tron is very pronouced but you can still hear everything
else.

Actually, the Mk.V that was in the fire wasn't "lost". Dave Kean rebuilt it,
it was sold to Mark Samansky, a DJ in Orlando, and I bought it from him.
I was actually marked as a Novatron Mk.V, and had serial no. 5 on it
(machine #130).

Mike autographed the serial number plate and the cheekblock of it when
he visited Orlando around 1997.

I later sold the Mk.V to a Mellotron collector in Italy, Sekine Ryo.
