Top of the Pops Aug 2nd...

Strange sight of a white M400 being used (without mains lead!) on a track that seemed to have real strings on it. There's a wicked irony in there somewhere.

The track was Shakira (possibly spelt differently) and current ly No. 3...

She does use mellotron. I know 'cause she did a live gig for the French Music Video Network in Montreal this past June and used my FX Console. Sadly, I couldn't be there and had to ask Pierre Veilleux to handle the mellotron wrangling duties. They started out only wanting to use 3 violins and cello, but that soon changed when they heard what else was on the menu...
