Glue for pads

Glue for pads

2007-06-01 by Bruce Daily

Hey all-
What kind of glue should be used for gluing the
keypads back onto the pad arms? A couple of mine fell
off in the refurbishing process.

Thanks-

Seriously, I used 3M trim adhedive found in auto parts store, comes
in a small tube also, and you only need a little. Beauty of this is
if you ever need to remove it at a later date, a heat gun or hair
dryer gets it off. Great stuff, been using it for years. For what
it's worth, Doug

Good suggestion.

Prof. Korb tossed me some Shoe Goo to replace the dislodged pads on
#1037, and that worked a treat. Then I did the unthinkable while
Jerry wasn't looking and used the Shoe Goo as intended---on my
*shoes* (which had soles in a rather unworkable state of decay).

Shoe Goo seems much like silicone cement (aquarium sealer,
basically), so I'm sure that'd be usable as well. You certainly
don't need much, as Doug said.

M400 #1037 - got goo?
