I have
(3) M400S of my own, found in Recycler ads in the early 80's (just as the DX7
came out, boy were they cheap!). These are the "ProgFest Trons", all three
played on the same stage by Anglagard at UCLA's Royce Hall in
1993. Also I am the caretaker of a Chamberlin M1 and Orchestron A. I've
restored/repaired an M400S for Greg Walker (currently in Utah), an M400S for Ryo
Okumoto (currently in Tokyo), and an M400S that now resides in Mexico with
Alfonso Vidales.
That
reminds me - I have a couple of tape sets I can part with, to whoever
may want them.

Subject: [Mellotronists] take a minute to answer, pleeeeeeease?
Anybody ever asked if everyone on the list who is fortunate enough to have a Mellotron (or Chamberlin) would tell the list so that we can see how many and what makes and models of instruments are accounted for by this group? I'd think it would be an interesting survey, especially if everyone that has one actually responds. I'll start:Mellotron M400 #886, Kansas, USA (acquired 2001)
