Re: [Mellotronists] M-4000?

2006-03-02 by tronbros@aol.com

Hello Charles and all,

Martin- can you give us an ETA of any pictures/previews of your
latest brainstorm the M4000? How about a charcoal sketch? :)

We have a very deliberate policy here. The initial M4000 production (which
is significant for a first run) is sold and once those machines have gone out
to their new owners, we will let them do the talking. Writing blurb and
offering less than complete images will not serve us well. The customers know
what they are getting but not all the features! The suprise element therefore
has to be maintained until this run is complete. And of course, bringing a
new product to the market place is always fraught with unforseen situations
so we're a little late but better to be right than rushed! Apart from the
keys, cabinets and motors, we do everything ourselves from making the press
tools, jigs and fixtures to pressing the parts, milling the metal, turning the
flywheels etc. etc. It's a true cottage industry and not an assembly shop.
The pressure is intense but the wait will be worth it.

Best,

Martin
